This journey isn't about dividing ourselves into heroes and villains, good and bad, strong and weak. It's about embracing the totality of who we are with compassion, curiosity, love, and grace.
Because every hero has a backstory. And so does every villain.
The parts of ourselves we sometimes judge most harshly may have once been the very parts that kept us safe. The goal of this journey is not to destroy the villain within us. It is to understand her, thank her for how she protected us, receive the lessons she carries, and lovingly release her from a job she was never meant to carry forever.
Over the course of our time together, we'll explore our origin stories, confront the villains that have shaped us, rediscover the superpowers we already possess, and step more fully into our own agency. Because perhaps the person you've been waiting for has been there all along.

WHY UNIVERSAL?
Because this year, we aren't just talking about heroes.
We're stepping into their world.
Universal Orlando gives us an opportunity to move beyond the conference room and physically enter a world built around imagination, adventure, courage, possibility, heroes—and villains.
Throughout our G2G journey, we will examine the stories we've inherited, the roles we've played, the battles we've fought and the identities we've created in order to survive. Then we'll step outside the conference room and put those lessons into motion.
At Universal, we get permission to imagine again. To play. To take a risk. To try something that scares us. To laugh loudly. To choose our own adventure.
And perhaps most importantly - to remember that we don't have to spend the rest of our lives playing a supporting role in someone else's story.
This time, you are the main character.
Universal becomes more than an excursion. It becomes part of our embodiment experience—a place to practice courage, reclaim play and experience what it feels like to choose the adventure for ourselves.

Every hero eventually has to leave what is familiar and answer the call to adventure. At Universal Islands of Adventure, we will do exactly that. We'll journey through extraordinary worlds, encounter heroes and villains, face experiences that challenge our comfort zones and decide for ourselves just how adventurous we're willing to be.
And at the heart of our experience is Marvel Super Hero Island—a world where superheroes and supervillains occupy the same story. That's important to us.
Because G2G 2027 isn't about pretending the villain doesn't exist. We're learning that the hero and the villain can both carry pieces of our story. One may represent who we're becoming, while the other may reveal who we needed to become in order to survive.
This is our opportunity to embody what we've been learning. Ride the ride—or decide not to. Face the fear. Choose the adventure. Take the picture. Meet the hero. Acknowledge the villain.

Conference registration is per person and includes all conference materials, breakfast Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, workshops, plenary sessions, worship services, and one-day admission to Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Hotel accommodations and transportation must be booked separately.

Hey, I'm Dr. LaKeesha!
Educator, visionary leader, sought after speaker, and consummate change agent, the Dr. LaKeesha is a force faithfully encouraging those she encounters to embody their infinite possibilities. Dr. Walrond is a dynamic speaker, teacher and coach who draws both national and international audiences. She has spoken in over 20 states in the US and engaged audiences in India, South Africa, Ghana, Canada, Bahamas, South Korea, St. Lucia, Mexico, and Guyana.
In an effort to authentically expand and unleash the hearts of women, Dr. Walrond launched the Getting to Greatness (G2G) Women’s Conference in 2013. The conference traveled to Orlando, Charleston, Niagara Falls, The Bahamas, Grand Canyon, and Washington DC. In 2023, G2G become Getting to Greater Global, honoring the call to engage in greater peace, joy, love, living, giving and serving. The conference traveled to Mexico in 2023, St. Lucia in 2024, and New Orleans in 2025. Join us this year as we journey to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in 2026.
